Man Utd and all these clubs aren’t in debt because of transfers increasing, it’s because the club and the owners are two separate entities, the club foots the bull for the owner’s investments.
It’s why PSR is a thing, because owners will push it to the max, putting the club into administration and walking off into the sunset if things go wrong as they tie their financial access to assets NOT income. They either sell the club with the debt or let the club rot as they leverage the club to get loans for other investments.
Either way the club loses and the owner wins, this is why the clubs can be so close to bankruptcy but the billionaire owners behind them are nowhere near that. If PSR didn’t exist you’d have seen so many more clubs collapse these past 15 years, we’d legit be in a crisis.

Regarding the redundancies and what Chris Hudson said about employees printing your ticket occasionally, we can say the same about the players, I mean, apart from standing offside several times per game, what does over-paid Havertz do?
