  1. Gen Z and the knowledge of football competitions. In tournaments, there are no teams that give you space to play power football like the Netherlands and France did for Germany in meaningless friendlies. It's obvious that you need a constantly ploughing, solid, balanced midfield to get through a long tournament, as the Argentinians and Croats do, as seen in the past when they were in the last 4 of the World Cup. It's not enough to have magicians in offensively joyous squad, even a talented Brazil lost to Croatia or Germany had to feel it in the group stage without Kroos or not, what good is it to have him alone if Wirtz and Musiala don't help him out, i.e. help out at the back. They are completely the wrong type of players against physically brutal midfield teams. It's also noticeable in the last title-winning teams that their midfield is more remarkably for its defensive brilliance than its attacking finesse. The French and the English even the Spanish with Rodri, Koke and Gavi come closer to this ideal than the current offensively loaded Germany. On the contrary, the Germans will predictably struggle again against counter-attacking teams such as Hungary, Austria or Denmark, and may even fail.

  2. Feels like Germany from 2014
Kross, gundogan, muller, neüer these 4 legends are back
And players like musiala, fullkrug, rudiger are in peak form
    And others are getting better
I can feel Germany might have hope in this Euro

  3. The two Games we're nothing more then a Test, the germans won nothing and france and the netherlands lost nothing.

The only thing we know for sure is Something is going on whit the national Squad of Germany, months ago they lost to Second sind Third tier Teams and had poor stats to.

It seems Nagelsmann has found a way to reset the mindest of the Squad, after reset everything he gave them a new DNA, putting Musiala and Wirtz together on the Pitch and installing a false 9, things experts saying you can not do, this Squad looks not Like the stero Type of a german National Team it looks like nagelsmanns Idea of Football.

we will se how this will work, till now it looks the outdated German National Squad turns into a serious danger for every Team they will met, i dont know If they can grow so fast to win that early a Tournament but thinking in long terms this Team could become the one you have to mess whit If you like to get hands on a Trophy.

  4. Every tournament Germany have hosted-74,88,2006- they never failed to reach at least the semi final. This upcoming Euros will give them a shot at redemption. A knock out fixture with the germans is always spicy with a penalty shoot out more than likely.

  5. Always interesting to watch international news about the germans playing. Because here in Germany it's always like "Calm down! Don't be happy, we're not there yet! Those were just two games! HALT STOPP!" Even 2014 everybody was like "Wait for the tournament!". Germans always need so much time to warm up and be enthusiastic about stuff. As if we're afraid to be disappointed.

  6. Kroos came back. Thats the difference. Like Real Madrid fans say, when the ball goes to Kroos then the game suddenly makes sense, everything simplifies and pressure decreases.

  7. england favourites, L—M—F—A—O. Never won anyything, same amount of trophys a san marino. Get a grip. Meanwhile giants like Germany, france and spain are all behind. I´ll take whatever those bias english pundits and bookies are smoking.

  8. Germany finally has a coach who is not beholden to Bayern. "Axe to grind" would be saying too much, but Nagelsmann will not spend sleepless nights on what Bayern will think if he leaves any of their players out.

  9. People can always so exaggerate… they had a lucky goal in the last few minutes, so it was close to a draw, while playing on home soil with a crowd of 40,000+ with a Dutch side clearly no interest in giving 100% with nothing at stake and not being on home soil. But now many suddenly think that they're a top team…. hahaha
