I want france va germany where a healthy Mbappe would play.
Here in Germany our TV experts had the USA as a slight favourite to win this game. We played really really bad and unorganzied in defense lately and especially counter attacks are our weak spot.. The USA on the otherside is really really good with countering. Iam really happy with the win although the first half wasnt that great defense wise.
As a German i guess US is in a trade off. Players in Big Teams, yet not experienced and many to play like Big Teams. A Union Berlin Style of game (last season) would fit more till quality arrives in numbers. It may not look nice, but its efficient.
Rudiger's defending against Pulisic was comical. Having played and trained together with Pulisic, he should have known better.
Dont forget Germany is a 4 WC winner ….. Under Nagelsmann Germany look good …
I think the USA team is criticized a bit too much in the first half they were dangerous. But nagelsmann could adjust the tactical positioning for the 2nd half.
At this point I really would rather have Thierry Henry as the coach when he said he'd do it lol
Japan has been among the Top 15 in the world for a loooong time and in recent years they are easily among the Top 10
Can we just acknowledge what US has achieved in football over the years?
On the FIFA world rankings they are ranked higher than Germany. So they were actually favourites to win against Germany.
Remembering the first appearance of US teams that is a achievement and i think they are still just at the beginning. In 20 years the USA will probably be a football powerhouse
It looked like the Germans were pissed when the US team scored and they said "You wanna get nuts, lets get nuts!" From then on the Germans were steamrolling the USMNT and throwing them around like a ragdoll. The Germans looked like they could change gears at any time, giving the USMNT a run for their money. This game should have been 6-1 if Füllkrug took his chances seriously. No chance for the US, none and Germany wasnt even going all in lol
Why is it called USMNT? Are we not sure if they are men?
Greggy Beerholder OUT!!!
this team has potential that midfield is unmatched in the world
Can ESPN not just refer to the US team as USA like every other national team? I get it's trying to pander to the women's team but there's no comparison between them and we know 'Grmany' means the national team
To lose to a very average germany team at home just shows how poor the us are. Stick to basketball.
Germany is always tough to beat.
definitely coming back in track
USA should have gotten 4 or 5 goals happy i predicted a score line of 3-1 or 4-1 USA will never have a top football team as long has the european south american and african teams compete in the world cup or olympics at least the men anyways
As cr7 scored two goals espn decided to skip analysis for Portugal 😂😂😂
Cool to see that the basketball world champions are finally starting to also have a decent football team.
Breaking news, the US team made up of MLS players, and one or two European bench players loses to a team filled with Bayern, Barca, and Real Madrid players… Shocker
It’s almost like people have forgotten just how great germany was. They still have a really good team. They just need a good striker and patch up the defence a bit.
The best thing these US players will learn from the Berhalter era is how to make PowerPoint. They will all be great salesmen
Typical. Always taking the opportunity to try and trash the US whenever you can. So annoying.
