  1. To just blame these ACL injuries in the women's game on strictly women bodies being different than mens seems incredibly lazy. There seem to be a number of factors making the reason not so easy to define i.e: pitch quality, shoe design, schedules being overly saturated, menstrual cycles relating to exercise, resources available to all of the above, etc. There needs to be more research yes, but also a lot more attention and $ dedicated to the women's game in every dept, period.

  2. Women are not as strong as men either from the perspective of muscle or bone strength and as a result they are more susceptible to injury because of this.

Not sure there is really much that can be done about it unfortunately, it is what it is.

  3. play basketball if you dont want injuries. there’s no headclash, they give you fouls for a touch in your wrist. you’re at walking pace or brisk walk in most cases. your legs dont dangle and nobody tackles you from behind. the only way you get serious injuries would be if you land incorrectly after a rebound or jump. alternatively you could be ig model. there wont be injuries 👍🏻

  4. There are distinct biological differences between men and women, why does this need to be investigate 😂😂😂😂 make them play less games so their bodies are able to cope with the intensity

  5. 😂😂😂 what a load of Bull. Sports Illustrated years ago did a story on the number of ACL injuries in women’s volleyball. The conclusion was men’s bodies are better able to withstand the stress. Yes men and women are different. In the 25 years or so since SI did that story it has become verboten to state that obvious fact!

  6. This sort of rhetoric isn't helpful. The issue exists across all ages, down to the youth level. Female soccer players suffer ACL injuries at much higher rates than male. The helpful approach is to figure out why and, if a fix is possible, then pursue the fix. I've heard theories ranging from hip/knee angle to body core strength/conditioning. As to the latter theory, youth soccer has begun stressing core strength and fitness training for female athletes and there is some anecdotal support for hoping this might incrementally reduce the incidence of ACL injuries.

  7. Yup, it's the fault of the evil confederate patriarchy Illuminati that cast a magic spell that turned lesbian knees into glass. Forshur.

No one watches women's soccer; hence no one cares.

  8. Yeah she made a good point. Like how many times do we see men get over taxed having to balance club duties with international duties and playing in multiple competitions multiple days per week…. Oh wait
