  1. I'm not even sure Arsenal are 'much' further along their progression as a team than United. If United had an elite level striker (and Casemiro avoids silly suspensions), I think they push Arsenal and City right to the wire this year.

'If' the season ends with Arsenal finishing in 2nd, and United finish 3rd with 2 domestic trophies it isn't even a discussion. If it's 'only' the Carabao Cup, Arsenal have had the better season. Let's see…

What if City win nothing? Have they had a 'good' season by nearly winning everything?

  2. Fair to Shaka, it's kinda hard to see who comes into this Newcastle team without unsettling the upward dynamic they have going on there at the moment. You want a competitive squad, not a bloated club with grumbling players (look away, Chelsea). Also, the Newcastle office may still hold back from extravagant signing/spending like a PSG or City won't have a problem displaying.

That said, I feel Newcastle could do with a couple of full backs. Trippier can't play 50 games of 80+ minutes and the club expects him to deliver at the level he's been doing so far.

  3. No matter what happens this season theyve both had good seasons compared to last season and last few seasons. From an arsenal perspective they lead the league all season then finish 2nd i think thats a disappointing season but if city were top all season and arsenal finished 2nd then that would he a great season.
For man utd how poor theyve been over the last few seasons then this season thier target was top 3 get back in that champions league if the finish top 4 with 1 trophy and another final theyve had a very good season considering theyve not had a striker and many injuries.

  4. I am glad to be in united position than Arsenal. Firstly we finished 6th last season with a crab defence. Secondly, we just got a new coach who is just joinin premier league. Thirdly winning top 4 and a cup is a plus not withstanding the number of matches and injuries…….😊

  5. Hehh.. Nice phrasing of the question. Lemme use my phrase. Would you prefer to be out of every cup competition by March but 5 points ahead of City with City having 2 games in hand? Or would you prefer having a winners medal by February, potentially top 4 and looking forward to an FA Cup final you're expected to lose but still with a fighting chance?

Bro 2nd 3rd 4th all get the same thing except price money.

  6. If we're talking in general then yes generally you'd want to be competing for the league.

But if we're talking right now at this moment then I'd rather be in Man United's position. Realistically Arsenal will not win the league now. That'd be such a huge dissapointment for the Arsenal players at the end having lead the race for 95% of the season and finishing with 0 trophies. Whereas Man United players would be much happier having played in 2 finals, winning at least 1 trophy and (likely) qualifying for CL next season.

  7. United fans with pure copium. If Man u win the fa cup, then they will have had a more successful season…However the carabao cup does not move the needle. Carabao cup is a lottery cup where teams play weakened sides until the semi-finals. Battling for a title have Arsenal clear of United, and its not even close. Reminder that united got battered and embarrassed multiple times this season.
