  1. You know what's funny, I can bet my life if Harry Cane was black and he missed that penalty the headlines won't be what it is now smh, Harry Cane is overrated and there where many other better British players than Harry Cane that should of been in that first 11 line up smh, England deserve to loose and will never win a World Cup, because to much racism and politics still plaguing there football team that they refuse to address.

  2. Since 1966,England has good players in the squad n in the country

  3. People who want Southgate to be sacked probably forgot about the days of McClaren, Capello, and Hodgson. The team was filled with star players but were absolutely mediocre and disappointing at tournament. I know Southgate is not an elite manager, but he is already much better than any manager you have had in the last 20 years.

  4. Southgate needs to go please, this team is never going to win any trophy with him, this team has so much talent they should have won a trophy already.

You are always going to be in the same state with him, about how good the team looks after they get out of qtrs, semis and final.

  5. This loss was not Southgate's error. He didn't miss the penalty. The English have nothing to feel ashamed about with this loss. It's just too bad they met each other in the quarters. This should have been the final. France is the best team in the world. Period. And England outplayed them for most of the game. That hardly speaks to poor management. Unless Southgate doesn't want to do it anymore, he will be their manager in 2026 and England will be top 2 or 3 favorites going into the tournament. And they should be.

  6. Need to win a cup/trophy. Kane as fwd n cptn was great. But not a big team player with Spurs & country. Big risk and reward situations. Should have gone with hendo during 2nd pen. Or maintain will keep on repeating similar scenarios with euro. Tweak the finer points & margins, champions are made off

  7. Mbappe was very effective but in a different way. That dude kept 3 defenders on him all the time there by allowing other teammates a lot of space.

  8. Stop the excuses England lost because that team on the pitch was unproven against strong opposition and found they were not good enough. Saying England should have or could have won is rubbish as they did not and any time France wanted to or had to score they did at will. Stop the nonsense, if we are to have a chance we have to deal with facts, not emotions or feelings as these pundits are. Just accept you were wrong, your calls to replace Sterling was wrong and now England are out because the team you called for was not good enough. It's childish rubbish and we are grown men. Take it on the chin and accept you were wrong. There is no doubt England were the best team in the competition and the players who got England to the Euros were that team, but an important player in that team was not on the pitch. Some say maybe the captain should be changed. I don't think changing the England Captaincy should be a problem as having so many good forwards coming in, it would allow more versatility if needed without the present captain not playing if needed, but I think this is the wrong time as people will assume that he is being blamed for missing a penalty when he should not be and it is simply a tactical move. The team had a duty to win through anything, but a lucky unnecessary second penalty that was a gift and they did not, so they are all to blame for the loss, not Harry Kane, and were not good enough as a team, but it was the manager that selected the team and so the buck should stop with him. But firing the manager won't solve anything as the true people to blame for the loss have been doing this to the England team for decades and they were not in the England camp. Once again England had to rely on goals from Harry Kane or Raheem Sterling to score in the most difficult matches and Raheem Sterling who has been our most consistent and reliable goal scorer and performer against strong teams, even more than Kane, was not even on the pitch because the media had been pressuring the manager so long to replace him. The media had been doing this since before the Euros and having done so for so long, Southgate against or logic and facts on the table finally buckled and followed their demands and this is the result. What do you expect if our most proven player against this level of opposition is not on the pitch knowing we are over reliant on him and Kane to get goals in important games. Maybe making Sterling England captain would mean our most reliable attacker is left alone to deliver the goods for England and drag England to another final with his magic, relieving the manager of the constant pressure to replace him on the pitch despite all he has achieved for himself and for England that says or indicates he should always be the first or at the very least second player on the England team sheet. Apart from Walker and Stones, Sterling alone has achieved more than the rest of the England team put together as an influential and important part of what he achieved, not a bit player, and at the age of 27. Lack of respect by the media for a our most experienced, vital, consistent at the highest level, reliable, proven against big teams and in high pressure games, and most successful player has once again cost us our best opportunity to win the world cup, in 50 years. Peace and love

  9. How many people talk about Steven Gerrard or Rooney as a top talent globally. Outside of England, not much and when Harry Kane decides to retire who will be in the same category. England winning a world Cup would be a fluke that no one wants because they will start considering their players as greats. When no players have that same opinion. When you talk about anyone in the top 5. Never do mention average players

  10. Here we go again, england lost and were still making excuses, 14 world cup, 56 years but they were a great team. We will never win while the general public have this attitude. We were the better team but we lost? What a bizarre mentality.

  11. England played brave football instead of hiding behind the ball.
Southgate was brave to play a positive game.
But somewhere i think if he would have gone pragmatic defensive approach he would have either won 1-0 or lost 3-1.
But now there is a feeling of togetherness with players,
In Sven, McLaren, capello,Roy era the players were more inclined to club football and would show their grudge to coach.

  12. England had the best team and best bench strength. Is this due to the National team manager ? No!

Its because England has the best Premier League and Clubs. Training with the worlds best players and the best international managers under the worlds best club tactics and system. England players were the best because they were developed and trained in the best clubs in the world.

All the National manager had to do is select the best players among a wealth of options to pick from, devise a system where they can get used to each other, and plan for various of different tactics.

This was a missed opportunity. You can see something was wrong with the system when they couldnt win against USMNT. The fact that the team played well is not due to the National Manager but mostly due to Clubs in the Premier League, which btw, doesnt have a stable English manager leading the way.

This was also the case in the France game. Manager failed to make the

  13. how do you go from England are potential favourites to win the world cup with talent across the board, a possible golden era to there making positive progression.. maybe thats why England always falls short.
