The USMNT has the players, talent, passion, resources and more international experience. What we dont have is an elite coach. The bar has been set so low that losing is considered a success. Its time to give somebody else a chance to bring it all together for this young team.

I'm not a soccer fan but I can guarantee you if soccer was popular in the United States as it is in other nations the United States would dominate every single year all of our top athletes go to the NFL in the NBA just imagine if Tyreek Hill and a whole list of other wide receivers and defensive backs and point guards in basketball where our soccer players we would make a mockery of the rest of the world
No one can press for 90 minutes. I do think the that Greggh thought the Dutch were going to press (they instead used so called 'provocative pressing') themselves. But the US pressing was working. 100%. The US could have scored. The problem with the US was that the Dutch didn't press but sat back. And this made the 2 center backs of the US have to make plays. And they just don't have the skills to do so. So they just used crosses that all went straight towards Van Dijk, who wins those easily. Dest tried to make rushes and that had some danger. But the weakness of the Dutch is a fast attacking player sneaking in behind Blind. Not Dest going over Blind. So in possession, players like Moussa and Weah were not put into play at all. He also shouldn't have started with Ferreira. The US should have played with 2 fast mobile attackers that stay away from the center 3. You can maybe try to press, but if you do you take a huge risk and you need to convert the chance that it creates you. The amazing thing about this game is that the US played very reckless and naive, and that it was working. The first goal the Dutch made came from nothing, and not from a turnover at all. There was no space. It was just elite level passing that the Dutch hadn't even tried to do all tournament. After the Dutch scored, if the Dutch had used pressing during turnovers, they would have been much much more dangerous. The Dutch basically invited the US back into the game. They just lacked the quality while for the Dutch finally Dumfries and Memphis started to play well.
The saddest thing is that Greg is satisfied. By the way he had no game plan, banking on hope miracles. Van Gaal had a clear game plan and a good home work.

Oh these empty head team appeared in world cup to Round 16 when they performed with Netherlands they trained same as NFL not in world cup skills. Not surprise problem end up losing and go home again with empty hands. It is funny when American people kept watched. the match when Netherlands made 3 goal on tv in their own country 🤣.
