  1. Ronaldo pressed back so many times last season prob the most in his career and more than Rashford and I don't hear ppl talking about Rashford ? mention Ronaldo's name for views

  2. Just let him go for 5 mil or something trivial like that, so that you don't lose him for nothing like Pogba. Look at the way the team's played without Cristiano under Ten Hag in the preseason. No losses and some big wins. And the players, including Rashford, Sancho and Martial seem to have discovered their love for football again. Don't blow it, you don't need Ronaldo to mess up your season, again…

  3. What is the reality? Being a player in the #1 league, he was the Third Top Goal Scorer, the Only One that scored 2 Hat Tricks, the Only One with 2 POTM, was in the TOTY… He is Still Amazing????

  4. Psg shud be his destination but it is unexpected leo being there last season. Bayern shud tke him.. for the last time for german league. Just tke him for atleast a year.

  5. no top team will take him, his time at the highest level is done and it shows by the interest in him. anyone who thinks a team with a passenger in it could beat city or liverpool is utterly deluded. Ronaldo is playing for himself these days (even more than in the past), he cares about CL goals and that's it. The guy is a lodestone for whatever team takes him… time for MLS

  6. CR7 is still faster than any kid that wants to proove himself bones and blood!!!
Can we at least agree that yes he slowed down and not because he cannot press constantly …!!!
Maybe experience = to wisdom = to being M.U top scorer at 37 and 3rd overall of league,in the most competitive league worldwide??
What is this constant debate about???
Hope Erik T. Keeps CR7….Brings in young blood from the team within and they smash the league with the old man!!
I would freekin take the chance if I was Eric T.Hag!! No Guts no Glory!!

  7. Ronaldo has actually OVER-achieved since he left Real Madrid. These guys hold Ronaldo to a MUCH, MUCH higher standard than they hold Lionel Messi to. It's laughable. Maybe they subconsciously think he's better than Messi? (Must be, by their criteria).

    1. Messi hasn't won the Champions League in 7 years while Ronaldo won it 4 years ago (2018), yet nobody brings that up. When Ronaldo left Real Madrid, the very next season they had their WORST LA LIGA SEASON EVER – they set a club record for defeats, 17, and their attacking efficiency went down almost 25%. They finished 3rd because La Liga has no parity. If they were in the Prem, they probably miss out of a UCL spot in 2018/19. How come NOBODY talks about this? They act like Real Madrid didn't spend $400 million to replace Ronaldo (Courtois, Hazard, Vinicius etc) and it still took 4 years, and the stratospheric development of Vinicius Jr., for them to get back to UCL glory.

    2. Ronaldo is CLEARLY held to a higher standard than Messi because they constantly accuse Ronaldo of "not pressing and holding his teams back." Messi has clearly held his teams back, by that standard, because he doesn't press either and Barcelona finished 3rd in La Liga during his final season there, hadn't won the UCL in half a decade, while bankrupting his team with a Guinness World Record 4 year $650 MILLION dollar contract (which averages out to around $160 million PER YEAR, incentives included, for a player who is finishing 3rd in La Liga during his final season at Barcelona. Messi scored 4 (or was it 5) goals ALL season for PSG, they got bounced out of the R16 thanks to a missed penalty from him in the First Leg, and he wasn't even the top creator on his own team – Mbappe led PSG in assists. Winning the league for PSG is not an achievement given their insane budget and loaded roster. Messi has chronically under-achieved for the past 4 years and nobody has said a thing. I wonder why…

    3. Ronaldo has scored more goals than Messi since he left Real Madrid, won 2 Serie A titles in 3 years at a time when Serie A is more competitive than it's been in 15 years, and he won every title there is to win in Italy EXCEPT for the UCL. However, Juventus hadn't won the UCL in decades before Ronaldo ANYWAYS – so any suggestion that his time in Italy was a "failure" also means Pep Guardiola is also a "failure" because he hasn't won the UCL since 2011 (it's been 11 years guys). In fact, since he left Madrid, only Lewandowski has scored more goals per 90 minutes than Ronaldo.

    4. What did Juventus do this past season without Ronaldo? NOTHING. Everybody said they would be "better" without him since he didn't press at Juventus, and they were bringing back legendary coach Allegri. Yet they won ZERO trophies despite having a new stud striker and Dybala (who won his ONLY player of the year award playing alongside Ronaldo, coincidence?). Their attack was also statistically worse per 90 mins this past season than when they had Ronaldo – who scored more goals in his first 3 seasons than any player in JUVENTUS HISTORY. Juventus had their first trophy-less season in 13 years without Ronaldo. Ouch.

    4. Ronaldo was THIRD in goals in the hardest league in the world last season with a putrid United team. United had not advanced past the Group Stages of the UCL in FOUR years prior to Ronaldo's arrival. They finally got to the KO Stages thanks to his individual brilliance. Moreover, United, in 7 previous games, had NEVER beaten Villareal – the same Villareal that knocked out Bayern Munich in the UCL – and yet, thanks to Ronaldo's game-winning goals, they beat Villareal TWICE. Something Bayern's loaded roster couldn't do. I thought "systems" win titles? And yet Bayern chronically underachieves in the UCL (Bundesliga, like Ligue 1 Farmers League, is a one-team league so there's a premium on winning the UCL). Fun Fact, Ronaldo, by himself, scored MORE goals vs Villareal than Bayern Munich and Real Madrid's entire teams COMBINED did in four games (1-1, 1-0; 0-0,0-0).

    5. Manchester United hadn't won a trophy in 4 years prior to Ronaldo (since Mourinho). And this past season they DID NOT WIN A SINGLE GAME IN WHICH RONALDO DID NOT PLAY. Not one. If he's the liability on-the-pitch you ESPNFC clowns claim he is, then surely they should be able to win ONE game when he doesn't play. That didn't happen.

    6. Tottenham, top to bottom, are a better team than United right now. If Ronaldo had a teammate as great as Son is right now, I assure you United would have finished in the top 4. Players like Sancho, who is just "potential" at this point, and Martial who is just "potential" at this point, and Rashford who is just "potential" at this point, and Greenwood is probably going to jail for a while so I won't even include him here, are NOT as good as Son. Let alone the Mane/Salahs, Kevin De Bruyne's of the world.

This idea that a player who has been in the top 4 in goals in every league he's played in since he left Real Madrid, constantly adjusting to NEW rosters and roster turnover, new managers over and over (6 managers the past 6 seasons) and is STILL scoring goals for fun, yet is somehow a liability is idiotic. Football fans and pundits often over intellectualize the game and it's dumb. Goals Win Games, period. Talent usually wins out. If Ronaldo was on Chelsea last season, they may have won the UCL (they probably don't choke away that game to Madrid).

Also what "system" did Real Madrid run last season to win the League/UCL double? Give the ball to Vinicius and Benzema? That system?

All these people fellating Ten Hag should also remember that Ajax hasn't won a UCL and has under-achieved the past 3 seasons given how well they've played in the Dutch league (a lot like Pep – see a pattern here?).

Man City have an ENORMOUS budget and they've managed to amass a supremely TALENTED squad. TALENT, not "systems" win football matches and trophies. And for all the talk about pressing vs not pressing, Real Madrid are not a "pressing" side but they managed to beat the one team constantly praised for their "system," Man City. Bayern press as good as anybody but couldn't beat a Villareal side that the dumpster fire that is Manchester United beat TWICE last season.

Talent is what wins in any sport. Ronaldo will shut up his haters like he always does. Not his fault the Glazers have been running United into the ground since they bought the team. He's still a top 3 striker in world football.

  8. i don't understand this excuse ronaldo doesn't press, last season he was running all the way on the pitch defending and pressing with 37 years, and they are still talking that he doesn't press. First watch the games and don't only stick to one point of view.

  9. It's crazy people think he is doing something wrong, when if you pull out a list of the players that singlehandedly gave points to their team saving them from a bad showing, Ronaldo comes out in first place with 14 points. Remove those 14 points, Man United is in 15th. You should be raising this guy a statue for even playing the Europa League.
